Tamtampamela -- Coming Clean
Here's her admission. I hope we see her again, and she can come up with something new now that her cover is blown. Again I can only wish her well. She fooled a LOT of people, and that shows talent.
Satanic Video Games
My favorite video so far from tamtampamela:
Looks like this dude who did a bit more real research than me is beginning to agree...she is a fake.
Update: Evidently she is now gone. Deleted her youtube account. However her other video (the Japan one) is now the property of some comedy site or some such. Looks like she got a contract.
I wish her luck. She pulled off a good humbug.

Lonely Girl's Prayers Kill Japanese To Help Wake Up World
I give you, Lonely Girl Meets the Church Lady:
Obviously, it's schtick. She has other videos which are better, but this one is the most timely.
Update: It says if you click on the video that LaughAloneTV owns the rights now. Looks like someone gave her a job.
Update 2: Kotaku has a good article on the story so far.
PS:
The point is she caused a stir because Christians DO act like that, and it sucks. Let that be a lesson to us.

Florence Nightingale
Hannah Whitall Smith Quote
I began to feel that the salvation in which I had been rejoicing was, after all a very limited and a very selfish salvation, and, as such, unworthy of the Creator who had declared so emphatically that His "tender mercies are over all His works," and above all unworthy of the Lord Jesus Christ, who came into the world for the sole and single purpose of saving the world. I could not believe that His life and death for us could be meant to fall so far short of remedying the evil that He came on purpose to remedy, and I felt that it must be impossible that there could be any short-coming in the salvation He had provided. The Bible says, "As in Adam all die -- even so in Christ should all be made alive." As was the first, even so was the second. The "all" in one case could not in fairness mean less than the "all" in the other. I saw therefore that the remedy must necessarily be equal to the disease, the salvation must be as universal as the fall.—Hannah Whitall Smith

Love is the only wealth that man absolutely needs. Love is the only wealth that God precisely is.

Olympia Brown
"The grandest thing has been the lifting up of the gates and the opening of the doors to the women of America, giving liberty to twenty-seven million women, thus opening to them a new and larger life and a higher ideal."
"The more we learn of science, the more we see that its wonderful mysteries are all explained by a few simple laws so connected together and so dependent upon each other, that we see the same mind animating them all."
Olympia Brown (1835-1926)
She is regarded as the first woman to graduate from a theological school, as well as becoming the first full time ordained minister. Furthermore, Brown was one of the few first generation suffragists who were able to vote with the passage of the 19th amendment.
Pema Chodron Quote
"Life is glorious, but life is also wretched. It is both. Appreciating the gloriousness inspires us, encourages us, cheers us up, gives us a bigger perspective, energizes us. We feel connected. But if that's all that's happening, we get arrogant and start to look down on others, and there is a sense of making ourselves a big deal and being really serious about it, wanting it to be like that forever. The gloriousness becomes tinged by craving and addiction. On the other hand, wretchedness--life's painful aspect--softens us up considerably. Knowing pain is a very important ingredient of being there for another person. When you are feeling a lot of grief, you can look right into somebody's eyes because you feel you haven't got anything to lose--you're just there. The wretchedness humbles us and softens us, but if we were only wretched, we would all just go down the tubes. We'd be so depressed, discouraged, and hopeless that we wouldn't have enough energy to eat an apple. Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other. One inspires us, the other softens us. They go together." — Pema Chödrön (Start Where You Are: A Guide to Compassionate Living)

John Murray Quote
You may possess only a small light, but uncover it, let it shine, use it in order to bring more light and understanding to the hearts and minds of men and women. Give them not Hell, but hope and courage. Do not push them deeper into their theological despair, but preach the kindness and everlasting love of God.
John Murray
