Wow

Most Voters Say Encouraging Economic Growth is Key, but Big Government is Not the Solution
Tuesday, September 09, 2008
Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters say encouraging economic growth in America is more important than closing the gap between the rich and poor, and the best way to do that is for the government to move out of the way.

Holy Macaroni, Batman. I'll be a Yankee Doodle Dandy. Amazing. Just like, wow man. Anyone got a big, fat ceeegar? Thank you, America.

Confirmed: He's an Idiot

Barack Obama responded today to the reactions to the stupid comment he made yesterday in the dumbest possible way; instead of manning up, showing some class, and admitting it was a dumb remark in the context of what is going on, what did he do?

Blamed the McCain campaign. What an ultra-maroon. It is beginning to look like he actually wants to lose this thing. Actually, it shows that he is simply horrible under pressure, and incompetent when he has to rely on his own wits. He also is as arrogant as he is stupid; he could have manned up, admitted to the gross blunder -- AND blamed the campaign as well as the media for over-reacting -- but no, he has to say it's all YOU, not ME. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I simply can not understand how people have any idea that this is a smart man. George Bush is a certifiable GENIUS by comparison.

Every time I start thinking I still might vote for Bob Barr, he comes along and makes me want to vote for the lesser of evils, just to protect my country from this knucklehead. Oy vey.

Somebody scare me with some nasty Palin rumor. Please.

Diddy Blog #17

Man, this guy is simply great. Diddy, I love your videos.

One Thing About Palin Bothers Me

Well, there's more than one thing, but this is a big one. In her speech, she criticized Obama by saying,"Al-Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America and he's worried that someone won't read them their rights." Now, I understand the rhetorical device, but that's not very libertarian, or constitutional of her. Obama picked up on this, as recounted by the Washington Post:

But Obama, who taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago for more than a decade, said captured suspects deserve to file writs of habeus corpus.

Calling it "the foundation of Anglo-American law," he said the principle "says very simply: If the government grabs you, then you have the right to at least ask, 'Why was I grabbed?' And say, 'Maybe you've got the wrong person.'"

The safeguard is essential, Obama continued, "because we don't always have the right person."

"We don't always catch the right person," he said. "We may think it's Mohammed the terrorist, but it might be Mohammed the cab driver. You might think it's Barack the bomb-thrower, but it might be Barack the guy running for president."

I gotta give credit where credit is due, Obama was right on calling her out on this; and if Governor Palin means that people are not innocent until proven guilty, and that suspects aren't due full protection under the U.S. Constitution, then she and I have to part company. I do hope Charlie Gibson asks her about this instead of who is Trig's real father and how she feels about the Jews and Pat Buchanan.

Hitler's SWG Account

Another recondite video RE the NGE. ZOMG I know.

I still think it's a pretty good one :)

Not With a Whimper, But With a Big Bang?

Is this the way the world ends? Tomorrow the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) goes live just outside of Geneva. Details here: Excitement and Fear Abound Over Super Collider

Some people believe this will mark the end of the world:

The concerns are nothing less than a total doomsday scenario. The anti-LHC hysteria was started by Walter L. Wagner and Luis Sancho, who filed suit in U.S. and European courts to stop the LHC. Their theory is that the LHC will produce micro black holes and "stranglets" that may not decay as rapidly as mainstream physics predicts.

"Any miniature black hole created at rest in a collider would essentially be trapped in Earth's gravitational field, and over seconds to hours, slowly interact and acquire more mass," Wagner says on his LHCDefense.org Web site.

I kinda doubt that's gonna happen, but if it does, I hope to see you all in Heaven later that day, thus settling my theological theories. If not, to quote Han Solo, "I'll see you in hell."

Here's a cool video from the dude's site:

The Growing Diddy Controversey

Man this is some funny stuff. Gotta love elections (the usual language warnings apply).

The Time for Liberty

I felt this thrill going up my leg as I watched this:

Of course, this came from the Libertarian Party's website. If you want change, screw ObamaCain -- this is where you should be.

Diddy Blog #16.5

This is Diddy's response to all the people out there with no sense of humor who came to the "defense" of the good black people of the great state of Alaska. Some folks got no sense of humor. Yeesh. Don't worry, Diddy. I got it, and laughed out loud (the usual explicit language warning).
