I'm So Ronry (In SWG)

When the NGE devastated the great game that was SWG, hundreds of videos were posted on YouTube based upon this dark day in gaming history. Here's one of the funnier/sadder ones:

One of Those Days

Badabing Badaboom Badabounce

Well, there we go; some polls say 10, some say 3, some 2, some 1 -- no matter how you look at it, Palin-McCain have their bump. I'd like to say it is all due to Palin, but I have to admit some of this is stunningly Obama. He has so mishandled every Post-Palin appearance it is as laughable as it is sad. He shudders and stammers between running against Bush, and then running against Palin. He is so afraid of McCain he ain't touching him, and it shows.

Once again he shows how stunningly unqualified he is for the race, and for the job he is applying. This has less to do with experience, which he has very little; but is more about temperament, ability, intelligence, and savior faire.

As I have said before, the more one gets to know him, the less one likes him. This is what happened with Democrats during the primary season, and it looks like exactly what is happening now.

Of course, it's politics. Things can change. In a moment, he can pull a surprise good move, or McCain can make a serious gaffe -- or we can find out that Palin is a shape-shifting reptilian from the fourth dimension who actually has had seven children and sacrificed the first two to Moloch (it's true! I read it at the Daily Kos -- or was it the Huffington Post?). A lot can happen in a couple of months; we'll see.

What is Freedom?

The first installment from the Acton Institute project:

Judaism and Human Rights

Swiped this from the Acton Institute. Well worth watching.

Two Demons Bound by Government

There they go again. Two demons created by government and allowed to screw things up by the government that summoned them, have now been bound by government. Fannie and her evil younger brother Freddie have been nationalized.

U.S. Seizes Mortgage Giants

When will the dumb, dark magi in Washington learn that summoning a demon is bad enough (as FDR, the Great Dark Mage of Statism did in 1938 in the case of Evil Fannie), but you must, as soon as possible, BANISH it?

Instead, they have chosen to tie and bind it. Let's see how long that lasts. Either way, it won't be pretty. This will look good for the short run, but in the long run will not serve us well. That is the primary problem with having so much government control over our economy; all anyone cares about is the short run: the election cycle.

Oh well. Who is John Galt?

More DOTs!

For those who asked, here's the Onyxia Wipe Animation (explicit language ahead):

If you don't know WTF this is, feel free to ignore it :)

One Man's View

One well worth considering.

Another gem found on Average Gay Joe's Blog.

2 Corinthians 5:16-19

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.(NIV)

Now, looking at this passage, we can see that the Apostle Paul is speaking TO Believers, telling them that they are no longer what they were before they learned of their salvation in Christ, accepted it, and allowed that to become a part of them. They are technically new creatures, and he is telling them that the are new creations -- a real change has taken place.

What he is NOT saying here is that the people who have NOT changed are unreconciled and are going to burn in Hell for eternity, because look where he goes next: he says that He gave US the ministry of reconciliation; that God was reconciling THE WORLD TO HIMSELF in Christ, not counting men's sins against them.

He then explains how God has committed to US (Christians) the sharing of this message. A message of hope, of joy, one that says they are already reconciled to Him in Christ, and that all sins are no longer being counted against them. That includes the sin of NOT BELIEVING.

We, the living in Christ, are charged with sharing this GOOD NEWS with all humanity. No BAD NEWS about it.

It's almost unfair....

In fact, it's totally unfair, but what the heck, I think it's funny :)

Now let me state categorically that I firmly believe the good Senator from Illinois is a Christian; his Liberation Theology-ish views are in no way similar to MY Christianity, but who am I to say? MY brand of Christianity has been considered a heresy since 544 AD or so :)

As I often say, if you are against "organized religion," try Christianity, the most disorganized religion in human history.

I still get a chuckle out of the above clip, however.
